Online running and gait analysis
We analyse your gait based on your running video
- Film yourself with your smartphone by running or walking 8-10 steps away from the camera.
Important: Your video will be processed using special software so that we can analyse your gait in its entirety. To do this, we need full-body recordings in which the ground is still recognisable under the shoes and the head is not ‘cut off’ at the top. - You can send us your personal running video by email to info@schumacher-sport.ch or simply fill in the online form below and upload your video.
- Our experts analyse your personal gait pattern based on your running video using special software (MotionMarker)
- You will receive an e-mail with the analysis report of your gait pattern and recommendations for suitable shoe models.
When is an online running analysis an option for me?
- Advice for new running shoes: I’m looking for a new sports shoe
- Running shoe-check-up: I would like to have my current shoe* checked without obligation to see if it still works or if it fits my gait perfectly. *Of course, we also check shoes that were not purchased from us.

Creating your video is so easy
- Set up your smartphone in portrait format and start the video recording.
- Jog 8-10 steps away from the camera*
- Then turn 180 degrees and jog back the same distance.
- Finish the recording and check the quality*
*Make sure you stay in line with the camera, walk in a straight line and your whole body is visible.
Important note: Your video should be approx. 5 seconds long. Ideally, you should wear running clothes so that we can easily recognise your gait.
